Qurios Loves Recycling
At Qurios, we are proud that Mother Nature has lent us some of her most beautiful places to share with our guests. The choices that we make now for our interiors are important as they can have a big effect on the future.
We have chosen chairs from the Danish brand ‘Mater’ for the terrace of our Brasserie. They are made from recycled fishing nets and plastic from the ocean. This innovative solution helps prevent pollution of our oceans.
Sand, sand and more sand in Zandvoort! A good floor at Qurios has to meet many requirements. We have opted for unique “Marmoleum” flooring for our cottages in Zandvoort.
This flooring, by Forbo is sustainable and designed to meet cradle to cradle standards: all materials used in this flooring can be fully reused for a new product after their life in our cottages. No waste, just recycling.
Recycled chairs & tables
Our Coffee Cottage and brasserie feature tables by furniture maker Sam Berghuis. Sam has been making tables from recycled wood for years. What is rubbish to one person is, to him, an excellent raw material for a unique product.
A special table requires a special chair, and that is the ‘Gubi Beetle’. Italian design combined with all that’s good from Scandinavia. ‘Beetle for life’ is a programme in which the shell of the chair can be reused time and time again. Both the fabric and the foam can be replaced and reused.
This magazine is printed on 100% recycled paper. Our printers are Drukkerij SpringEruit in Schoorl; where the workforce is made up of people with learning or other disabilities and everything they make is made with love.
This magazine is made with love, which makes it doubly sustainable!
